I think this piece is great!

I really like the vectorial you've done here on the guy, it looks great. You put a lot of details there without putting too much, it looks exactly right. The face is probably my favorite part. His facial expression is quite scary I have to admit and we can feel the power of this guy, which I think is quite hard to put through a vectorial illustration.

The typography looks great as well, I like the contrast red/white with the background and the font used. Would you mind telling me which font you used for this one? (hehe, stealing a bit :) )

If there was something to improve, I would say the pants are lacking a bit of details. I understand they are supposed to be in the shadow but when looking at it longly it came to my mind that a few details would make it even better.

Anyway, great job you did here, you have great skills!

ps: I like your logo as well ;)

Wow thank you so much! This is such a great critic, very constructive! As I told you first of all thanks! In this particular illustration I was inspired by the "Juice" film by Tupac Shakur and Omar Epps (maybe you know him from House series), it's a very good film and the main character (the one I illustrated is pretty tough as well! That's why I choose the black and white contrast and the shadows that dominate the pic.

The font I used is the one from Sin City comics by Frank Miller and can be easily found at sites like Dafont.com, it's free so please don't be worried about using it!

I think you're right about the pants thing, they aren't really as detailed as the other parts! Thanx for noticing that!

Thanks again, is great to have those words from you! Enjoi!

You are very welcome!

I am trying to be as constructive as possible so I am very pleased I am succeeding at this :)

I have heard about Omar Epps yes, if I remind right he used to be a MC. I had never head of Juice before though, you made me want to watch it! I'll definitely take a look at it.

That's a great choice you made to make him in black and white, we can really see the tough part of the character like that.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try to use it in the future

I'm glad I could help you notice something about your work, I know sometimes feedback from my family/friends on my work is really helpful and they see things I don't so I hope I can be as helpful to others!

This is my 2010 resolution, make elaborated comments about other people's work, and for the moment it's working quite well so I am quite happy about it.

Once again, I'm glad I could help :)
